Dr. Sai made the call in his address at a workshop on promotion of education sector held in Nay Pyi Taw Tuesday, said the New Light of Myanmar.
He told the workshop to lay down the most appropriate education system for Myanmar through talks.
He invited participation of international organizations, non- governmental organizations apart from the United Nations in the drive, disclosing that necessary rules for private schools and tuitions will be promulgated.
He also revealed that stipends will be offered with outstanding students to continue education as well as stipends for further study at home and abroad.
He maintained that compulsory primary education will be launched to raise the literacy rate and improve vocational education.
To improve English language which is a must in the globalization process, he stressed the holding of debates and extempore talks in English and upgrade mathematics and science subjects.
He also called for inclusion of subjects of international law and international relations in the school curricula according to 2015 ASEAN Integration Plan.

Meanwhile, Myanmar President U Thein Sein, in his first address after he took office on March 30, vowed to promote the national education up to international standard and work for the development of human resources in all seriousness, underlining that in the previous government, a huge number of universities and colleges were opened for the youth to pursue higher education at low cost in their respective regions as well as high, middle and primary schools across the country including rural areas.
