Michel Martelly sworn in as Haiti's new president in ruins of quake

Michel Martelly was sworn in as Haiti's new president on Saturday in front of the collapsed National Palace that stands as a symbol of the earthquake devastating the impoverished Caribbean nation last year.

Martelly, better known as the popular singer "Sweet Mickey, defeated his closest rival former, first lady Mirlande Manigat, in a landslide victory with 67.5 percent of the vote in the runoff elections held on March 20th.
