S Korea's current account surplus posts 1.88 bln USD in April

South Korea's current account surplus posted 1.88 billion U.S. dollars in April due to brisk exports, the central bank said Friday.
The surplus reached 1.88 billion dollars in April, up from a revised 1.13 billion dollars in March, the Bank of Korea (BOK) said in a monthly report.
The April reaching marked a surplus for the 14th consecutive month since March 2010, helped by strong exports which account for about 50 percent of the South Korean economy.
The current account is the broadest measure of international trade, including goods, services and investment income.
