Chile and Brazil on Wednesday signed an agreement of technical cooperation, which will allow the training of Chilean technicians, professionals and students in the field of digital TV in Brazil.
The agreement was signed by Chile's Transportation and Telecommunications Vice Minister Jorge Atton, his Brazilian counterpart Cezar Alvarez, and Director of the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC) Ricardo Peixoto.
The cooperation will last two years and also includes courses on digital TV transmission and reception, as well as the production and management of digital contents.
The goal of the Chilean government is that in the next three years the digital TC will reach at least 85 percent of the Chilean territory, and will cover 100 percent two more years later.
