New Zealand's North Island East Coast 5.5 earthquake occurred

A 5.5 magnitude earthquake struck New Zealand North Island's east coast on Monday, causing no casualties or harm.

The quake, occurred at 12:42 p.m. (0042 GMT), was centered 30 km south west of Ruatoria and was 70 km deep, the New Zealand state geological monitoring agency GNS Science said. The tremor was felt inside the Gisborne and Bay of A lot regions.
