Remain in Greece to protest austerity measures

A large number of Greeks have filled the principle square within the capital, Athens, protesting against the government's economic austerity plans. It really is the fifth consecutive day of protests there. The rallies have largely been organized through the internet with about 10 thousand demonstrators turning up each time.

The Greek government introduced further austerity measures final week, which are expected to have an effect on jobs. A wave of reforms introduced last year cut wages and pensions. Protesters, numerous of them young, are angry that they're the one who must pay the cost for the debt crisis via the reforms. They may be calling for politicians to be held accountable for their country's debt.
