Australian Football star Tim Cahill backs Qatar to host 2022 Planet Cup

Australian Football Team star Tim Cahill on Sunday night threw assistance to rival Qatar hosting the 2022 FIFA Globe Cup, in spite of playing a part in failed Australian bid.

Final December, Cahill was in Zurich of Switzerland to witness Australia's first-round elimination in voting, just before fellow bidders the United states, Japan and South Korea also bowed out.

Qatar has won hosting proper, but allegations of corruption during the bidding method have since induced controversy.

Nonetheless, Cahill said the Qatar was deserving of a chance to host the occasion.

When asked if he wanted to visit the World Cup in Qatar he answered with an emphatic: "Yeah for sure".

The 31-year-old Cahill also brushed off widespread criticism of Qatar's ability to host the event, saying people are too swift to point out the negatives.
