Philippine president to comply with smoking ban in public areas: deputy spokesperson


Philippine President Benigno Aquino III will comply
together with the implementation of smoking ban in public locations, which will begin particularly in Metro Manila on Monday, his deputy spokesperson said Sunday.

The 51-year old president
is actually a recognized smoker.

"The president is
truly following that (smoking ban in public places), so there is no cause to assume otherwise," mentioned deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte in a state-run radio station interview.

The Metro Manila
