Major petrochemical companies will participate in the 9th Iran Petrochemical Forum to be held in Tehran from May 21 to May 22, the English language satellite Press TV reported on Sunday.
Secretary of the forum Ramezan Oladi said Saturday that more than 110 participants from 25 major petrochemical companies will attend the two-day conference, a Press TV correspondent reported.
Oladi said that officials from Germany, France, Italy, India, Greece, Japan, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, China, South Korea, Turkey, Switzerland, Britain and Singapore will participate in the event.
A total of 840 experts from 260 Iranian firms will also attend the meeting, he said according to the report.
A number of workshops will also be held on the sidelines of the conference, Oladi said, adding that the forum will focus on current issues of the industry, such as the impact of international economic crises on the petrochemical industry and the effect of the increase in feedstock prices on production capacity.
He said that cutting-edge petrochemical technologies, marketing outlooks for and quality management of petrochemical products, and investment opportunities in the industry will be some of the main topics of the forum, said Press TV.
