Australian PM vows to track down perpetrator of attack in Afghanistan

Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard on Tuesday vowed to make "very determined" efforts to track down an Afghanistan National Army soldier who shot and killed an Australian soldier.
Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston on Tuesday announced that two Australian soldiers have been killed on Monday in separate incidents in Afghanistan.
The first involved an Afghan National Army (ANA) soldier fatally shooting his Australian comrade numerous times in the Chora Valley before running away.
In the second incident, an army lieutenant died after the Chinook helicopter he was in crashed while on a resupply mission.
Gillard described as "shocking and disturbing" an incident in which the Australian soldier was shot numerous times by his Afghan comrade.
She said the circumstances of the incident were still unclear, and she does not want to jump to any conclusions.
"But it is very shocking and I think many Australians will find it very disturbing," she told reporters in Canberra on Tuesday.
"We will be making very determined efforts, working with others, in Oruzgan Province, to apprehend the perpetrator of this attack."
