Australians Coalition continues to lead Labor gov in two party preferred terms

Almost a year after becoming Prime Minister, voters aren't satisfied with Prime Minister Julia Gillard and would kick Labor government out of power if an election had been held today, latest Newspoll showed on Tuesday.

Within the Newspoll survey of 1128 Australian voters conducted over Could 27-29, which published within the Australian newspaper on Tuesday, showed support for the Coalition in the two-party preferred terms was 52 percent to 48 percent for the Labor government

The primary vote for Labor government remains stuck at 34 percent, the highest main vote for Labor given that mid-March.

Main vote for Coalition was down two percentage points to 44 percent, but is still leading the Labor Party.

Support for the Australian Greens rose four percentage points to 14 percent, the party's highest primary vote since early March.

Despite the fact that voters stated they would elect the Coalition, but the poll showed that they do not approve of its leader, Tony Abbott.

Gillard remained the preferred prime minister. Her ranking as the greater Prime Minister rose two percentage points to 44 percent, with Opposition leader Tony Abbott down to 37 percent from 38 percent.

Prime Minister Julia Gillard's satisfaction rating rose one percentage point to 35, with her disaffection rating slipping from 55 to 54 percent.

Satisfaction with Abbott's performance fell 1 percentage point to 37 percent, and dissatisfaction with the opposition leader increased two percentage points to 53 percent.
