Blatter confirms Japan will host 2011 World Club Cup

Japan will host the 2011 Club World Cup as scheduled regardless of the aftermath of earthquake, tsunami plus a nuclear emergency.

FIFA president Sepp Blatter formally confirmed Japan as hosts of the 2011 Club World Cup on Monday.

"We can announce that Japan will certainly organize the FIFA World Club Cup in December," Blatter stated in Zurich. "We are happy after having been two years inside the United Arab Emirates that we are now back in Japan."
