Toyota to push social networking, the owner becomes friends with the car

Toyota Motor Corporation (7203.T) and cloud computing company Salesforce.com (CRM.N) will jointly build social networking services, so a car owner, "friends" and user-friendly access to car maintenance, like a reminder microblogging .

Toyota is again within two months with a software company. Toyota last month with Microsoft (MSFT.O) announced its intention on a global scale to provide network connectivity for Toyota service.

Toyoda, Toyota Motor president and Salesforce.com CEO Marc Benioff in in Tokyo, said at a joint press conference: "Social networking services are interaction and communication between people change the mode."

"This car needs to keep up with the pace of change," Toyoda said.

In the new private social network, "Toyota Friend" service, with the Toyota car owner can "chat", as in Twitter or Facebook, like chatting with friends.
