President Tsakhia Elbegdorj said that Mongolia wants to collaborate with NATO when meeting with a visiting NATO official, local media reported Friday.
Elbegdorj expressed the intention Thursday during talks with James Appathurai, the bloc's secretary-general's special representative for the Caucasus and Centra Asia.
Local newspaper UB Post reported that the president also exchanged views with Appathurai on future cooperation between the two sides.
Appathurai, for his part, lauded Mongolia' s contributions to the NATO-led military mission in Afghanistan.
