India asks its nationals to leave Yemen

India Friday asked its 14,000 nationals in Yemen to leave the country in the wake of violence between government forces and rebels in which over 24 people have been killed.
"All Indian nationals living in the country are advised to exit the country through whatever commercial means available," the Indian External Affairs Ministry said in a travel advisory.
Stated that the 14,000 Indians living in Yemen should "not venture out except under absolutely unavoidable circumstances", the Ministry said that the Indian Embassy in Yemen will provide assistance to the nationals.
More than two dozen people have been killed since Wednesday in fierce clashes between rebels and forces loyal to President Ali Abdullah Saleh who have shunned repeated calls by the Gulf countries and the west to step down.
