Each sides of Libya conflict look for solutions

Both sides of the Libyan conflict had been in search of solutions towards the months-long crisis, because the government sent out a delegation to find a way out of the stalemate while the opposition intensified its bid to overthrow Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.

Five Libyan officials, including the heads with the foreign affairs ministry as well as the customs bureau, and a representative for the Arab League, reportedly have crossed the Tunisian-Libyan border as aspect of diplomatic moves to search out a remedy towards the Libyan crisis.

Amid escalated NATO bombings, the Gaddafi government is apparently searching for an exit out with the crisis, primarily turning to the Afrian Union (AU) which has been calling for an outright finish for the NATO strikes.

In Benghazi, opposition leader Mustafa Abdul Jalil stated on Sunday that the departure of Gaddafi could be the only way out of Libya's crisis and also the opposition wouldn't hold any talks using the government.

"The only situation for holding talks of resolving the crisis is the fact that Gaddafi, his inner circle and his household have no future within the political arena of Libya and they should leave," the chairman with the National Transitional Council (NTC) told Xinhua.

"We only welcome the proposition regarding the ceasefire and peace settlement according to this condition," Jalil stated.

Russia, which had extended been criticizing the NATO-led air strikes on Gaddafi's forces, surprisingly toughened its stance on Libya throughout a recent G8 summit held in France's seaside resort of Deauville.
