Real Sociedad part company with coach Martin Lasarte

Real Sociedad have parted company with coach Martin Lasarte following a nerve-wracking end to the season for the Basque club.
Lasarte joined Real Sociedad in 2009 and led the side from San Sebastian back to the Primera Liga in his first season in charge.
Real Sociedad enjoyed a positive start to the campaign on their return to the top flight and that prompted the club to extend his contract until June 2012. However, Real Sociedad suffered from a lack of experience and lost their way in the final third of the season and went into the last game needing to take a point from their home match against Getafe to assure their survival.
A 1-1 draw in that game saw Real Sociedad maintain their place in the BBVA Primera Liga, but the end to the campaign prompted the club to sack Lasarte.
"We wish him the best in his professional and personal future," said a communique on the club's website. The Uruguayan will leave the club along with veteran players Raul Tamudo and Diego Rivas, whose contracts expire at the end of the season.
Lasarte is not the only coach who has lost his job in Spain: Almeria announced that Roberto Olabe will not be continuing on their bench following relegation to the second division.
Olabe only arrived at Almeria on April 6th following the sacking of Jose Luis Oltra with the club already deep in the relegation zone. He was unable to work a miracle and his last game in charge was Saturday's 8-1 defeat away to Real Madrid.
Miguel Angel Lotina has also announced his departure from Deportivo la Coruna after four seasons. Deportivo were relegated on Saturday after losing 2-0 at home to Valencia.
Lotina read out a hand written letter in which he thanked the club for the four years he spent working at the Riazor Stadium.
