Global air force chief conference begins in Turkey

Global Air Chief Conference started in Istanbul on Thursday with participation of air force commanders from more than 60 countries.
The semi-official Anatolia news agency reported that Turkish Air Forces Commander Gen. Hakan Aksay hosts the event as part of the 100th anniversary of the foundation of Turkish Air Forces.
Air force commanders will discuss "problematic areas of air and aerospace forces in the future" during the closed-doors conference.
The conference is attended by Air force commanders from more than 60 countries, including Germany, Austria, Belgium, China, Denmark, Indonesia, France, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Canada, Russia, Ukraine and Greece.
Following the meeting in Istanbul, commanders will head to Aegean sea city of Izmir to watch the Air Show Turkey 2011.
The acrobatic flights will take place in western province of Izmir on June 4 and 5 and will be organized by the Turkish Air Force.
The acrobatic flights show will take place at the Cigli Air Base in Izmir. More than 100 planes from almost 20 countries will be part of the show.
Acrobatic flights teams from the United States, France, Croatia, Britain, Italy, Pakistan, Poland, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Romania, Slovenia, Germany, Algeria, Spain, Serbia and Jordan will be part of the spectacular show.
