Getafe President Torres refuses to confirm Michel as coach for next season

Getafe President Angel Torres has dropped a big hint that Michel Gonzalez will not continue as the coach of the Spanish BBVA Primera Liga club.
Michel has been at Getafe for two season, guiding them into the Europa League in his first season in charge. However, his side finished the last campaign fighting a desperate battle against relegation and only a 1-1 draw in the last game of the season away to Real Sociedad saw them avoid relegation to the second division.
Speaking to the press Torres confirmed that Director of Sport, Toni Munoz would remain at the club, but refused to confirm that continuity of the coach.
"I consider Michel to belong to this club and he has done a good job, but nobody knows what I think about the matter, not even Toni Munoz," said Torres.
"I have listened to Toni and also to Michel. I have a good relationship with the coach and we spoke about whether he wanted to continue or not. We will make a decision next week," added the Getafe President.
After saying that he would make a decision in the forthcoming days, Torres then discussed other coaches, ruling out Barcelona B team coach Luis Enrique, saying that he didn' t know him.
Torres also mentioned Gregorio Manzano, who left Sevilla this week, commenting that he would be on any list of candidates if Michel did leave and Levante coach Luis Garcia.
"He has done a good job and we will study him as well if we change coaches because we like young people in charge," he said.
The Getafe President confirmed that the club has signed Diego Castro from Sporting Gijon as well as Medhi Lacen from Racing Santander, but added that they were looking to sell Derek Boetang and had offers from clubs in England, Turkey and Russia to buy the Ghanaian midfielder.
