Tunisia's interim Prime Minister Beji Caid Essebsi will reveal on Friday a 25 billion U.S. dollar economic support plan at the G8 Summit, in Deauville, France, the state-run press agency TAP reported.
Essebsi who will speak at the summit on Friday is expected to present an ambitious economic support plan, which was previously suggested by a roster of world known economists.
The plan which involves an aid of some 25 billion dollars over a five year period including five billion dollars in the short term aims at restoring regional economic balance, modernizing the economy and upgrading the educational and training system.
In addition to the financial back-up, the North African country will also request unilateral access for its products to G8 markets, as well as a "mobility partnership" for the benefit of students, teachers, researchers and businessmen, TAP said.
