Federer eases into French Open last 16

 Former world No. 1 Roger Federer reached the French Open last 16 on Friday with a 6-1, 6-4, 6-3 win over Serbia's Janko Tipsarevic.

The 2009 champion, seeded third here, will next take on the winner of another match between Swiss compatriot Stanislas Wawrinka and seventh-seeded Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
