Iran says U.S. sanctions against Venezuela "failed experience"

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said that the U.S. new move to impose sanctions against Venezuela is one more failed experience, the official IRNA news agency reported on Sunday.

Last week, the U.S. government imposed sanctions on seven foreign companies, which includes Venezuelan state oil provider PDVSA and Israeli Ofer Brothers Group, which it said are involved in providing Iran with gasoline as well as other refined petroleum solutions.

The U.S. State Department said that the new penalties are component of an ongoing effort to force Iran to provide up its nuclear ambitions.

Mehmanparast stated Saturday that the U.S. unilateral sanctions indicated isolation from the country on the planet and insulted other nations' intention to pick out their trade and political partners, stated the report.

Iran is beneath sanction pressures by the Usa, European Union along with other Western countries over its controversial nuclear system, which the West believes is moving for the atomic weaponry developments.

Nevertheless, Tehran denied the allegations, claiming that its nuclear program is for civilian and peaceful objective.
