Indonesia to commemorate speech of founding father

 Indonesia will commemorate the speech of founding father Bung Karno on June 1 as a method created by the People's Consultative Assembly in socializing four pillars from the nation, an official mentioned here on Monday.

Lukman Hakim Syaifuddin, vice speaker from the People's Consultative Assembly stated that it could be the second year from the commemoration.

"This year's commemoration will probably be unique as not simply the latest President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will deliver a speech but two former presidents, namely the third President BJ Habibie along with the fifth President Megawati Sukarnoputri will deliver their speech to commemorate Bung Karno's speech in June 1, 1945," stated Syaifuddin.

He stated that the occasion could be also attended by present Vice President Boediono, former Vice President Hamzah Haz, former Vice President Attempt Sutrisno, all cabinet members, leaders of high institutions, police and military high officers together with governors, leaders of society organizations and leaders of political parties. "There will probably be 950 officials and former officials who will attend the occasion," he stated.

He mentioned that the commemoration would refresh memory from the significance with the four pillars, namely five national principles of Pancasila, State Constitution of UUD1945, the United states of Republic of Indonesia and Unity in Diversity principles.

"Besides, not least critical is how to implement values from the four pillars," mentioned Syaifuddin.
