Cambodia to launch stock industry on July 11

Cambodia is scheduled to inaugurate the long-awaited Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX) on July 11, according to the statement from the finance ministry released to the media on Monday.

And the initial securities trading will start towards the end of 2011, added the statement dated on Could 26.

The ministry explained that the above two various dates getting planned are determined by the knowledge of some nations, which scheduled the start from the securities industry operator 1st, in order for this operator to have adequate time in preparing the process with the very first securities coaching.

The CSX is actually a securities market place operator, a securities clearing and settlement facility operator, and a depository operator.

The head-office with the CSX is located in the kingdom's tallest building, Canadia Tower in Phnom Penh.

3 state-owned enterprises--Sihanoukville Autonomous Port, Telecom Cambodia and Phnom Penh Water Provide Authority--have been preparing IPO (Initial Public Offering) to list within the upcoming CSX.

The program to open CSX was initiated by Korean Exchange in 2007.
