Turkey deeply concerned with political crisis in Yemen

Turkey is deeply concerned with the social events that turns into a deep and chronic political crisis in Yemen since January, an official statement said late Tuesday.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry said in the statement that the existing crisis threatened the unity of the Yemeni people and institutions, made the country's economic conditions worse, threatened the security of Yemen and had a negative impact on the people's daily lives.
Within this frame, Turkey has been deeply saddened and disappointed to see that the efforts of the Gulf Cooperation Council did not end the political crisis in Yemen, the ministry stressed.
The clashes that took place in the Yemeni capital Sanaa on Monday show that the situation in Yemen is going to get worse unless a solution is found to the current crisis soon, it underlined.
Within this frame, Turkey invites all sides in Yemen to stay away from violence and act with common sense, said the ministry, adding that Turkey expects the Yemeni government to act with a sense of responsibility to re-establish tranquility and stability and begin a peaceful process of change and also to fulfill its commitments.
