South Korea joint military exercises with the United States

South Korean and U.S. forces conducted joint exercises on Wednesday, the first Korean-led coalition forces in the exercise as Seoul planned transfer of wartime operational command to prepare.

More than 800 South Korean troops from the two tank battalions and squadrons in the United States military training and motor training in the field of Mugeonri free combat training, north of Seoul.

South Korea dispatched 40 K - 1 tanks, 4 K - 200 and K - 242 armored vehicles, three K - 277 armored vehicles, two self-propelled anti-aircraft guns and eight rescue vehicles. 28 U.S. M2A3 Bradley fighting vehicles and rescue vehicles were also involved.

The four-day exercise marks the first by a South Korean military, plans to retake wartime command of its currently held by the United States in 2015, conductor.

Seoul wartime operational command to the US-led United Nations Command in the 1950-53 Korean War, and later transferred to the ROK-US Combined Forces Command (CFC) of the outbreak.

Some 28,500 U.S. troops stationed here have been under the war.
