Giant panda conservation international research institutions

Launched an international research center in southwest China's Sichuan Province on Tuesday to enhance their protection of giant pandas and other endangered species research work instructions.

International Centre for the Giant Panda Conservation Biology is a joint project by the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base and the U.S. Global Business Foundation.

The center will employ domestic and international resources, technology and funds to address a major threat, endangering the survival of giant pandas and other endangered species and development, said Professor Zhang is only raccoon, director of the Chengdu base.

Zhang said the center is a "new three-step" of international cooperation in the protection of giant pandas.

"This will provide a dedicated to protecting endangered species and biological diversity of the international platform," Zhang said.

In recent years, China has reported success in breeding pandas, but the giant panda and many other rare animals still face habitat destruction, natural disasters, human disturbance, disease and pollution.
