Flaxseed does not help hot flashes, the study found

 A new study presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology's found that daily consumption of flax seed no more than obstructive symptoms in the placebo effect.

Flaxseed is widely regarded as beneficial, because it contains phytoestrogens, through the plants, mammals, estrogen mimic the effects produced chemicals.

Sandhya Pruthi, associate professor of medicine at the Mayo Clinic, and her team have conducted a randomized study of 188 female participants.

After 6 weeks, these women eat a bar that contained 410 mg of lignans (a phytoestrogen found in flax and other plants) or protein and fiber.

At the end of the study, only a few differences in the two groups found in hot flashes.

Pruthi said: "Flaxseed may be a highly touted supplement for many diseases, but according to the results of our randomized study, it is not effective for hot flashes."

Menopause marks the permanent cessation of women's reproductive fertility. With the end of menstruation, the most common complainrs is hot flashes, night sweats, memory, lack of sleep, loss of libido and vaginal dryness loss.
