Decline in software piracy in China: Survey

China's software piracy rate dropped 2 percentage points, from 2009 to 2010, according to a latest survey results.
Internet research company survey Chinalabs the overall piracy rate dropped from 14 percent to twelve percent, according to Saturday's China Daily.
State Intellectual Property Office commissioned Chinalabs since 2005 to track the data. More than 4,800 individuals and businesses throughout the country of the respondents attended the meeting.
According to the survey, the value of illegal software business grew by 1.55 percent last year to 130.94 billion yuan (approximately 20.1 billion U.S. dollars).
