Taiwan: Downstream business affected by toxic drink scandal

Supermarkets in Taipei are still unsure of what drinks are contaminated with plastic agents despite recalls from health authorities. As a result, traders from smaller towns are continuing to stock potentially deadly products.
Working in Taitung, a less affluent part of the island, this deliveryman doesn't know if he's bringing safe drinking products or poison.
Deliveryman: Juice powders.
Reporter: Anything else off shelves?
Deliveryman: No.
Many store owners don't know either.
But buyers are being vigilant.
"I won't drink. I'm scared."
And it's not just bottled drinks.
Jams and other food flavouring additives have been found to contain the industrial plastic DEHP, producers are now worrying about their business.
Beverage maker said "We are scared too. We asked the material providers to test their products. Otherwise we will be affected."
Lucky for this woman, she has got the test report, proving safe supply.
But more are still waiting, in fear.
Some even say that it's now the health departments that get business, rather than vendors.
