In the eastern state of Orissa, India testfire nuclear capability Prithvi - II missile

India's nuclear capability is testfire Prithvi - II, to-surface missiles on Thursday in the eastern state of Orissa, highly placed sources said Wednesday.

"Self-developed missile will be tested in the Integrated Test Range Chandipur in Balasore district in the country tomorrow morning. For testfiring have been substantially completed the preparatory work," they said.

Prithvi is India's first self-built ballistic missiles. It is based on India's Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme to develop one of five missiles.

Prithvi - II by the Indian Army has been selected, is nine meters long and one meter wide. It is also a single-stage, the maximum installed capacity of 500 kg of liquid fuel missile warhead, but for the extended range of 250 km.
