This is the basis of the relationship from the mainland's Association Across the Taiwan Strait (ARATS) and Taiwan's Straits Exchange Foundation (SEF), held talks on behalf of the first such meeting, Zheng Lizhong, the ARATS vice chairman, said before the talks.
"I believe the meeting will help to improve the implementation of these agreements," he said.
Since 2008, the two sides resume talks on 15 agreement sealed on a regular basis.
Negotiators will be reviewed in addition to economic cooperation framework agreement (ECFA), it will be another independent committee to handle all the protocols. Cooperation agreement on health care, has not yet entered into force, is off the table, Zheng said.
These agreements cover issues such as cross-strait air services, food security, financial cooperation, agriculture and quarantine procedures and judicial cooperation.
"It is understandable that we are facing in implementing the agreements of the new situations and problems. Both sides have been actively involved in addressing these issues," he said.
However, he said that this is mutual respect and understanding of both sides, because some problems may not be resolved under the existing conditions.
"With the deepening of cross-strait relations, to solve these problems may emerge," Zheng said.
The two sides had met in Beijing to determine the agreement in April has been the implementation problems, said Kao Koong-lian, SEF vice chairman.
"I hope both sides can resolve today's meeting in most of these issues, particularly problems that demand from the co-ordination between different government departments," Gao said.
