UN-backed anti-crime action plan Organization of American States

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Tuesday welcomed the plan of action by the Organization of American States (OAS) declared the fight against organized crime in the region, UN officials said.

Organization of American States announced the organization's 41st General Assembly, meeting in the Central American countries El Salvador, the new plan.

the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) The Executive Secretary said that she commended the UN Secretary-General on behalf of the plan.

"The United Nations is committed to helping reduce the organized crime, challenged the system stability, prosperity and human development," she said a statement issued by ECLAC.

"We believe that the fight against terrorism and building a new national system began," she sadded.

Base Na also reaffirmed the commitment of the United Nations and ECLAC cooperation with the Organization of American States.
