At the very least two had been killed and several other people injured in a fire incident in Petrochemical Complex in Imam Khomeini port in southern Iran, the semi-official Mehr news agency reported on Tuesday.

The accident happened when some periodical maintenance work was underway in among the processing units of the complex, the report said, adding that at the very least two staff were killed due to the gas poisoning.

Fire has been controlled inside the Petrochemical Complex which will be the biggest inside the country, Mehr said without having specifying the time of the accident.
