5.6-magnitude quake hits Flores region, Indonesia -- USGS

An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale jolted Flores region, Indonesia, at 15:57 local time Thursday (0857 GMT), the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 14.60 km, was initially determined to be at 8.2457 degrees south latitude and 121.6827 degrees east longitude.

5.7-magnitude quake hits Papua, Indonesia -- USGS

An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale jolted Papua, Indonesia, at 06:47 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 86.80 km, was initially determined to be at 3.06 degrees south latitude and 139.67 degrees east longitude.
