Egypt's ex-president Mubarak's health stable after unconsciousness: official

The health of former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak is stable after he lost his consciousness in the hospital on Friday, an Egyptian official said Saturday.
Mubarak suffered hypertension when hundreds of people converging outside the Sharm El-Sheikh International Hospital, where the ex-president is held, trying to storm the building, Egyptian Assistant Health Minister Adel Adwai was quoted by state- run news agency MENA as saying.
These protesters demanded his prosecution and quick transfer from Sharm el-Sheikh hospital to Torah prison in Cairo.
The date of transferring Mubarak has not been decided yet, Adel Adwai said, adding that "General Prosecutor Abdel Maguid Mahmoud is the one who will decide this move based on the medical report he received from a medical committee."
Thousands of protesters gathered on Friday in central Cairo's Tahrir Square demanding fast trials of Mubarak and other figures in the toppled government, and complaining of the unjustified delay in putting Mubarak and his two sons, Gamal and Alaa, in jail.
Mubarak has been under custody in the hospital in Sharm el- Sheikh since the beginning of investigations against him over accusations of killing peaceful protesters in the massive demonstration, corruption and the abuse of power.
