NATO carries out air raids on Tripoli: Jana

NATO carried out daytime air strikes on Tripoli on Saturday in an attempt to ratchet up military pressure on embattled Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, the official news agency Jana reported.

The agency did not mention targets of the air strikes, but said raids caused "human and material" damage.
