Relocation of the Royal Malaysian Air Force Base

28, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib announced here in Kuala Lumpur, New Street, prime location field will be moved to the Royal Air Force Base, Mountain State Forest to play the central region.

After the tour Najib camp, do as above, said at a press conference. He said the airport will be relocated as soon as possible, but he did not specify the specific time of the relocation.

Royal New Street Field military airport, is the first airport in Kuala Lumpur, the Royal Selangor Flying Club is also the base. The airport in 1952 to 1965, the former Kuala Lumpur airport for civil aviation; 2010, the Government announced the closure of the airport runway and terminal retention.

The airport is located in prime locations, so closed, the airport site will be developed for commercial purposes.
