Vietnam to launch new direct flights to China's Taiwan by Airbus A321

State-run Vietnam Airlines will open direct flights from capital Hanoi to Kaohsiung of China's Taiwan from June 17, 2011, with 3 flights per week and by Airbus A321, announced Vietnam Airlines on Monday.

The Hanoi-Kaohsiung is the fourth direct flight amongst 28 direct flights from Vietnam to China's Taiwan by Vietnam Airlines, which has now a total of 46 international routes worldwide.

The expansion would support Vietnam Airlines ideal its company, improve its competitiveness as well as implement its technique to turn into strong airlines within the region, said Vietnam Airlines' Deputy General Director Trinh Hong Quang.
