Local broadcaster Channel NewsAsia said on Monday that the outcomes of the online survey by recruitment consultancy Robert Walters showed that a bigger proportion of the specialists in Singapore were keen to change their jobs in Singapore.
The survey found that in China's Hong Kong, 57 percent specialists would like to alter jobs in the next three months, in Malaysia the figure is 56 percent and in Thailand 52 percent.
These figures indicate that specialists are optimistic about the job marketplace, said Andrea Ross, managing director of Robert Walters Singapore & Malaysia.
Nevertheless, challenges will exist and folks should make sure that they choose the appropriate roles, specifically for more niche positions, he added.
The trend will also lead to an increase in staff turnover and greater pressure on employers to retain their top talent, Channel NewsAsia said.
