Confucius Institute Nizhny Novgorod Russia

Confucius Institute was formally established on Monday in Russia Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistic University, the Confucius Institute in Russia's total to 18.

 

The Institute was established by the Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistic University and the China Sichuan International Studies University (Shanghai International Studies University).

 

Address at the opening ceremony of the event, Li Hui, China's ambassador to Russia said that 18 Confucius Institutes in Russia as Russian economic and cultural exchanges, the new platform, especially Russia in the promotion of Chinese learning.

 

He also hoped that this will help further strengthen the friendly relations and education, deepen the cooperation between the two countries.

 

Dmitry Svatkovsky, deputy governor of Nizhny Novgorod, said the Confucius Institute here will help the country more closely with China relations.

 

He believes that the Institute will be the local people learning Chinese language and culture research center.

 

About 500 people, including school principals Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistic University, Boris Zhgalev, in Li Jianping, vice president of Shanghai International Studies University, and teachers, and students from the University, attended the inauguration ceremony.

 

Russia and China in 2009 and 2010 at the bottom of Languages. So far, there are 18 Confucius Institutes and Confucius Classroom of four parts in Russia received more than 24,700 Russian students.
