On Monday the United States welcomes the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's second bid, but he did not provide direct support it short.
U.S. State Department spokesman McCormack said the U.S. position is clear toner. "We welcome his announcement that he will seek re-election of the Secretary-General," he told reporters at the ministry. "Obviously, the United Nations faces a number of daunting challenges. We have with the Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on many constructive."
France and China have expressed their bid Ban Ki-moon as the new, who on Monday expressed support for "with the (UN) Member States of the support, I would be honored, for once."
Toner described as a person in the U.S. "constructive" in the various problems facing the United Nations for individual classes, but he said the U.S. would have "a more formal response" to his bid in the next few days.
Ban Ki-moon to succeed five-year term in January 2007, December 31 at the end of this year, Kofi Annan. For a successful re-election, the 66-year-old former South Korean foreign minister to wait to get all five permanent members of UN Security Council support - Britain, China, France, Russia and the United States.
