Soft plastic villain of the sea turtle: Australian researchers

Australian researchers said on Tuesday that 36 percent of the turtles in the marine litter, soft plastic as the main villain of.

Scientists from the University of Queensland sea turtles washed survey Moreton Bay in Brisbane's eastern region has established a four-year period.

"Using the ratio of soft plastic - plastic bags, bait bags and cling film - the turtles found in hard plastic intestinal content compared to the proportion found in the environment increased significantly."

She said this showed that the soft plastic turtle food choices, as some people talk.

Earthwatch Australia, Richard Gilmore, the Executive Director said the new research and the work of Dr. Townsend stressed the need for greater community impact of marine litter.
