Kurdish rebels killed in western Iran

 Iranian security forces have killed Kamyaran the western city of Kurdistan province, members of a Kurdish rebel group, the local English language satellite TV news reports Monday.

Another three militants were injured in the attack, but managed to escape, the report said, adding that the police has launched an investigation and found that the "terrorists" whereabouts.

 

The operation was carried out after security forces were told to kill a militant cell of farmers, who were identified as Shirzad Madani, two days ago, according to the report.

 

Rebel group has not announced so far responsible for the death of the peasants.

 

Iranian Kurdistan witnessed fighting between security forces and Kurdish armed groups are often in conflict.
